After Hours Care
MIWM does not provide clinical care or support outside of our regular business hours, including weekends, public holidays and our Christmas closure period.
During these times:
Emergency: Call 000 or attend your local Emergency Department.
Mental health support: Call Lifeline 13 11 14 or Beyond Blue 1300 22 4636 for free, 24/7 support.
Non-urgent health advice: Call Nurse-on-Call 1300 60 60 24 for free, 24/7 telephone health advice.
In-person assessment: Attend your local Urgent Care Centre. Find your local centre here.
MIWM will resume care and support during our next regular business hours.
Home Visits
Home visits may be available within a 5 km radius of our clinic and are considered on a case-by-case basis.
A home visit may be arranged where it is considered safe and reasonable by the treating practitioner and appropriate to the patient’s needs.
Please call the clinic to request a home visit, and our team will discuss your request with the appropriate practitioner.
Walk-ins
We do our best to accommodate walk-in patients; however, patients with scheduled appointments are given priority.
Walk-in patients will be assessed according to their needs and available practitioner capacity, with urgent or clinically appropriate cases prioritised where required.
Where we are unable to accommodate a walk-in patient, our team can assist with arranging an appropriate appointment time.

Parking
Metered parking – ALL DAY metered parking is available on Walker Street, Royal Parade and The Avenue. The Royal Melbourne Zoo parking is available for $2 for 5 hours and is a short walk from the clinic.
Free parking – two hour free parking is available on Walker Street and surrounding streets and is subject to availability.
